Best things to do in Garden of the Gods Park

The garden of the gods is not your typical flower. Instead of perennial plants, red rocks appear from the ground, a sandstone monastery in the watery sky. The park is located on the outskirts of Colorado Springs, exploring wine and sawdust in the flora, leveling the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It is easy to see why the underground beauty of this place inspired the Native Americans to consider the land sacred. We take a morning stroll along a gentle path through the Garden of the Gods Park and when the thirst finally causes the Colorado breeze, we cross the road for a cold drink and the visitor center has something to eat.

Organic structure, the visitor center is built in sweeping curves and installed in the mountains. Upon entering, we are greeted with a panoramic view of the park in the lap of Pike's Peak, which is still dressed in winter white. I stand enchanted, eating burgers ordered by my husband - burgers for me and black beans for me - and then I follow me to the terrible porch where we sit and watch the shadows playing on the red stones. I will soon forget the crispy edges of our back bean pie, dipped in barbecue sauce and topped with crispy salad, red onion, soft green slices of avocado and ripe tomatoes, and I will never forget the godly preparation.

It seems that wherever I go, I collect recipes as souvenirs. I didn't find the Black Bean Burger recipe, but I came home and played until I made my own.

Colorado Springs was born in the 1850s behind the Pike Peak Gold Rush, and in the 1870s it attracted many because its dry climate and mineral water were believed to cure tuberculosis and other diseases. Moving fast: In 2006, Money magazine named Colorado Springs the best big city to live in (a city with more than 300,000 inhabitants). Due to its natural features, mineral waters, climate and rugged Rocky Mountains, Colorado Springs is a strong tourist destination.

The city has its own "old western" history, but it is uniquely modern. There are a number of outstanding companies with a base of operations Agilent, SNIA, Atom to name a few and the region is also considered the center of major military companies Fort Carson, USAF Academy and national defense agencies. The population has grown to the point where measures are being taken to tackle congestion. The best things to do in Garden of the Gods Park are countless that will enhance thrill and add unforgettable moments in your life.

Visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, one of the two mountain regions in the country. They are involved in conservation and breeding, and their work includes wolves, gorillas, zebras, giraffes and cheetahs. The zoo is actually on the hillside.

The zoo has an unusual attraction called the Will Roger Sun Shrine. It really has nothing to do with Will Rogers, and it's actually Spencer's Penrose Cemetery. Penrose was a local adventurer and financier in the Colorado Springs business, including the Sheen Mountain Zoo and the Broadmoor Hotel. He had a strange desire to name his grave after a friend. Worth a visit to get a great view from the Watchtower.
